La Junta Livestock Commission
La Junta, Colorado
This is a press release from Arkansas Valley Fair. We want you to come by and help the kids. These 4-H and FFA members will be our future farmers, ranchers, vets, feedlot managers etc. If you can’t make it make sure to call Ryan. Thanks Jace Honey
La Junta Livestock Commission Inc. has been a strong supporter of 4-H and FFA in the Arkansas Valley for many years. This year they are going above and beyond by offering the use of their facilities for the Jr. Livestock Fat Stock & Food Sale. Proceeds from this sale support FFA and 4-H livestock members who raise, feed, show and invest countless time and effort with their animals in the hopes of turning a profit after their project is sold. Most members use this money to reinvest in future projects or for college.
Arkansas Valley Junior Show Board is pleased to team up with La Junta Livestock to support youth from Otero and Crowley County in their agricultural endeavors. Arkansas Valley Junior Show is a non-profit agricultural association. Without volunteer auctioneer/ring men our sale would not be possible.
A buyer's appreciation dinner will start at 5pm with the sale commencing at 6pm on Friday, August 21st at La Junta Livestock.
If you want to help support the future of agriculture you are invited to attend the sale. Facemasks and keeping a cow length away from others is encouraged. You may also contact Ryan Davis, sale superintendent 719-980-4821 with your bids, to add on or to donate to a community buying pool.
